IDJ acted as advisor to Inverness Medical Innovations in its acquisition of Concateno. Inverness, through its Instant Technologies and Redwood Laboratory subsidiaries, is the leading developer in North America of drug and alcohol testing devices and products, selling millions of instant urine and oral fluid tests each year.

Premier Farnell
Arrow invested $300 million to acquire from Premier Farnell its industrial component distribution businesses, operating in 13 countries.
The transaction was made complex by the fact that the seller was continuing its well established business of distributing components by catalogue sales. Certain of the businesses acquired were branches of their parent company whilst others were subsidiary companies. IDJ represented Arrow from the first meeting with the CEO and CFO of the sellers, assisted in structuring the transaction, all negotiations, the transitional arrangements and the vital plans for ensuring that every significant business was told of the change of its ownership by a senior Arrow executive on the day that the purchase was announced.
Tekelec Europe
In acquiring Tekelec Europe, based in France, Arrow was further extending its scale in a number of European countries to a point where compliance with European Union competition law was a key consideration.
In addition to assisting in the negotiations to acquire the Tekelec Europe businesses, IDJ prepared the draft submissions for the lawyers requesting clearance from the European Union Competition Commission.
