Bio
Charles is counsel to IDJ on American opportunities. He has twenty years of experience as an institutional investor and CEO. He was a founding principal of The Beta Group, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm; and previously served as a Vice President and member of the Board of Directors of The Boston Consulting Group, the world’s leading strategy consulting organization. Charles founded and served as CEO of Personics Corporation, a pioneer in electronic music distribution which was subsequently sold to Time Warner, and Telescan Systems, manufacturer of computer-based kiosks for retail point-of-purchase marketing. He is Principal of Palisades Associates, a US corporate finance firm.
Charles holds a JD from Harvard Law School and attended Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar. He is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia (currently inactive). He is a US patent holder, and served as Chair of the Systems Requirements Committee of the California State Commission on Educational Technology.
